10 and 11 year olds in Chelmsford put on the ‘beer goggles’

05 May 2012

Several classes of 10 and 11 year olds put on "beer goggles", which are designed to make people feel the effects of being drunk without taking a sip.

The activity was all part of a series of stark messages given to children about the dangers of drinking - including videos of real- life examples of the devasting effects of alcohol - in a session led by recovered alcoholic Debby Peirson, who jointly runs alcoHELP.
