time to stop treating alcohol as just another thing on the grocery
shelf. It's not it's a drug.

alcoHELP has,
for the third year running, been signed
up by Tendring District Council's Crucial
Crew
to present our alcohol awareness workshop to approximately 1500
year six schoolchilden at Dovercourt. We will continue our
focus on "Saying No" to peer pressure in scondary school,
as well as experiencing the effects of sensory impairment with our
renowned "beer goggles!"
October/November 2008.
alcoHELP has,
for the first time , been invited
to particpate in Braintree District Council's Reality
Roadshow
to present our "reality alcohol awareness" workshop to over
2,000
year nine schoolchilden at Secondary Schools in the district.
We will be working alongside The NHS, Essex Police, the Fire and
Rescue Services, The Anti- Social Behaviour team at BDC and The Drugs
Advisory Service. We are very excited by this and are raelly grateful
to be given the opportunity of giving our hard-hitting
presentation. We will be featuring our renowned "Beer
Goggles" during the sets to lighten- up what is an education
about the effects of alcohol on outside looks, inside workings and
the unpredictable behaviour brought about by alcohol abuse.

is
again working with Brentwood District Council's Crucial
Crew
to present our alcohol awareness workshop to approximately 800 year
six schoolchilden at Brentwood Preparatory School. We will
continue our focus on "Saying No" to peer pressure when the
children start their scondary school career. We will als allow them
to experience the effects of sensory impairment with our renowned
"beer goggles!"

alcoHELP
will again be joining with Braintree District Council's Crucial
Crew
to present our alcohol awareness workshop to approximately 1,600 year
six schoolchilden at Braintree College. This year's focus
is "Saying No" to peer pressure in scondary school as
well as experiencing the effects of sensory impairment with our
renowned "beer goggles!"
During
2007..
alcoHELP has
been putting together a workshop for 16-18 year olds exploring
the dangers and effects of binge drinking. We will discuss how
alcohol inflicts damage on our bodies both internal and external. We
will show the correlation between violence and other threatening
behaviours in alcohol fuelled situations. And importantly we shall
look at FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) which can have a devastating
effect on children born to parents who consume alcohol. Millions of
working days a year are lost by businesses because of alcohol related
absence, This
1/2 day workshop is ideal for enhancing the awareness of new
studying employees of those in apprenticship. Businesses and

Towards
the end of January 2007..
alcoHELP was
at Hogarth Primary School in Brentwood. Our lecture focussed on what
the
children already know about alcohol. How alcohol affects our
behaviour. Interactive videos
highlighting
the differences between someone who has been drinking and driving
and someone
who
has not been drinking. We finished up with each child having the
opportunity to try out our
"beer
goggles" which give the feeling of being drunk without actually
taking in any alcohol!

to present the alcohol awareness workshop to 1,626 year six
schoolchilden at The Discovery Centre. Braintree. Essex.
This
was the most important alcohol awareness programme ever held for
young children in Braintree.
For
two weeks the Alcohelp team gave 1,626 children a ten minute, hard
hitting, factual video presentation covering alcohol abuse, how to
say "No" when pressured to drink, the effects of being a
passenger with drunk drivers and learning that children of their age
are the odd ones out and that it's cool not to drink alcohol. They
also experienced the effects of being drunk using "beer goggles"
