  • Alcohol is a powerful highly addictive drug. You can become dependent on it ..an alcoholic. Children as young as twelve are alcoholics.The majority of alcoholics DIE.

  • Alcohol is now causing more DEATHS than heroin, speed, cocaine, ecstacy and cannabis combined.

  • You can DIE of alcohol poisoning. Alcohol can cause DEATH directly by acting on those brain areas that control consciousness, respiration and heart rate. As a central nervous system depressant, alcohol can "turn off" these vital brain areas, resulting first in coma and then DEATH.

  • You might choke to DEATH on your own vomit.

  • You can DIE of cirrhosis of the liver or a hemorrhage caused by high blood pressure.

  • You can DIE an accidental death in a road traffic accident  or by an act of violence or..

  • You may commit SUICIDE.

  • As a binge drinker you might get the DT's. You can DIE from this.

  • You could be facially DISFIGURED for life as a result of alcoholic violence.

  • Binge drinking if pregnant or even before pregnancy can cause BIRTH DEFECTS or 'foetal alcohol syndrome'.

  • You're more likely to be RAPED or robbed when drunk

  • You can become HIV positive through unprotected sex.
