Braintree district: Alcoteens could help kids with drink problem

18 June 2012
Terry Martin, founder of alcohol education charity Alcohelp, has met youngsters who are “pleading for help” at schools across the Braintree district and Essex.
The Braintree accountant, who lives in Castle Hedingham, is looking to set up Alcoteens to help children as young as 11.
He said: “We want to get together some sort of support group that will visit schools and children can come and speak to child therapists and people like us – ex-alcoholics – and get into a group that will be totally anonymous.
“It will be similar in some way to Alcoholics Anonymous."
